Anxiety & Religious Trauma
Therapy in Michigan

You might look like you’re holding it together—but inside, your mind won’t slow down.
You overthink everything, feel constantly on edge, and can’t quite relax…even when life looks “fine.”

For many of my clients, this is tangled up with religious experiences, pressure, or beliefs they’re starting to question.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to start—we can sort through it together.

damage never existed.
It means the damage no longer controls our lives.”

Online and In-Person Therapy
for Religious Trauma and Anxiety

If you’re searching for a religious trauma therapist in Michigan, you may be carrying the effects of spiritual abuse, high-control religion, purity culture, or faith deconstruction that still lives in your body and nervous system.

I specialize in helping adults across Michigan heal from the shame, anxiety, identity confusion, and relational wounds that often follow these experiences.

My approach is trauma-focused and experiential, using Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) — an evidence-based, eye-movement therapy similar to EMDR — along with parts work and somatic awareness to help your brain and body process what talk therapy alone cannot reach. Together, we work at a pace that feels safe, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your story.

I offer online religious trauma therapy for clients throughout Michigan, including Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Detroit, Jackson, and surrounding communities.

You don’t have to untangle this alone. Healing from religious trauma is possible, and it does not require you to abandon your values, your autonomy, or yourself.
